Poudre Canyon, Fort Collins, CO

I am a twenty-something Catholic missionary, artist, self-proclaimed nerd, student, and child of God pursuing sainthood, authentic friendship, and love. Born in a small Nebraskan town I was raised on home-cooked meals and Cornhusker football. I’m a sister to three dashing men and one poised woman–two of whom are married. With effort, I speak German, but mostly I stick to my native English tongue. My dream house is the MoMA and I’m a Sheen-head (Fulton, not Charlie), which is code for ‘I have degrees in studio art and psychology’.

I believe in God and His self-sacrificing love. To quote Pope Benedict XVI in his first encyclical, God is Love:

We have come to believe in God’s love: In these words the Christian can express the fundamental decision of his life. Being Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction. John’s Gospel describes that event in these words: “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should…have eternal life” (3:16)… Jesus united into a single precept this commandment of love for God and the commandment of love for neighbor…Since God has first loved us (cf. 1 Jn 4:10), love is now no longer a mere “command”; it is the response to the gift of love with which God draws near to us.

I am inspired by the examples of authentic love given by numerous Saints (and saints), especially my Mother Mary and her perfect Fiat.

You can join me on my mission either through prayers or financially! Thank you for the support, God Bless!
